We’re Your Local Septic Service

Reliable wastewater systems of Western NC

You deserve the best service for have a happy and healthy home

My name is Mikal McKee and I am a new septic installer in your area. I am 36 years old and originally from Fairview, NC. Becoming a septic intaller was inspired by a desire to combine my hands-on skills that I have developed from construction work and my schooling in Earth science and hydrogeology. When septic systems are implemented correctly, organic waste from your home is processed by naturally-occurring bacteria and you are left with nitrogen gas and clean water that recharges our precious groundwater and streams. It is a privilege to be a steward of these beautiful mountains and contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment.

At MR septic we go the extra mile to keep our clients happy with the service we provide. I guarantee we will always keep an open line of communication. We are not a big company. We don't have 8 different jobs going on at one time. Any job that we take on won't be put on the back burner. You can rest assured that your job is our priority and it will receive our undivided attention. I will always be on-site to ensure we are being thorough and transparent. It would be our privilege to build the last wastewater system that you will ever need.

Septic Installation

What is a septic system?

A septic system is an underground wastewater treatment structure commonly used in rural areas without centralized sewer systems. It consists of a septic tank and a drain field (also called a leach field).

  • The tank separates solids from wastewater.

  • The drain field filters the liquid (effluent) back into the soil.

How it works?
  • Wastewater from your home flows into the septic tank.

  • Solids settle to the bottom (sludge), grease and oils rise to the top (scum), and liquid stays in the middle.

  • Bacteria begin breaking down the waste.

  • The liquid (effluent) flows into the drain field for natural filtration through soil.
